Today I encountered a killer grocery bag. I have your attention now don't I? It all started this morning when I went to put a couple of boxes of cereal away in the pantry. I had gone grocery shopping the day before and put everything away except for two bags that I missed. As I went to put the boxes in the pantry I discovered that over the course of the night I had been visited by vermin, most likely mice. Long story short, the mouse or mice had chewed a hole through every package of food in the pantry not encased in metal or plastic... and it/they had done it after I stocked the shelves the night before.
As I reflect on my life, I am amazed at the stories interwoven with mine. You can never tell how simple actions or deeds can shape the future... or bring peace to the past. As I recall experiences from my past and reflect on the direction they have given me in life, I am amazed at the simplicity of life's complexity.
I once shared an apartment in Texas with a beast. In fact, there were many creatures living in my apartment with me at the time⦠none doing so by invitation. But for the most part we all got along. I did try and kill as many of them as possible, and thus they left me alone as much as possible. All but one of them anyhow. I called it the beast, and for a very good reason as you will soon learn.
